Reservations are due Friday for the Boerne Chamber of Commerce’s members-only networking breakfast, set for 7 to 9 a.m. Tuesday at Spinelli’s Vistro, 911 S. Main St., in Boerne. The cost is $15 per person and reservations are required. Saturday

Leon Springs Farmer's Market is held every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p. m. at the Leon Springs Dance Hall, 24135 W. Interstate 10, in the parking lot (Boerne Stage Road exit, across from Rudy's Barbecue). Vendors offer a variety of edibles, from fresh produce to honey, nuts, breads, jams and jellies. Jan. 25

The 30th Annual Cowboy Breakfast, sponsored by Toyota, will be held Jan. 25 at Bass Pro Shops, 17907 Interstate 10 West (take La Cantera exit, also known as Fiesta Texas exit). Opening ceremonies, as well as the Cowboy Breakfast, will start at 5 a.m. and continue through 9 a.m. with live music on two different stages.

The 2001 Cowboy Breakfast set a record and was entered into the Guinness Book of World Records as being the largest breakfast served in the world.

Tickets are on sale at the Boerne Convention and Visitors Bureau, 1407 S. Main, for the Boerne Chocolate Walk, set for 3 to 7 p.m. Feb. 9 in downtown Boerne. Tickets are $10 each for this event, sponsored by Boerne Parks and Recreation. Ticket holders collect chocolates from each of the 32 participating merchants in downtown Boerne. The walk provides an opportunity for visitors and locals to shop and dine in the shops, galleries and restaurants that Boerne has to offer. Call 830-249-7277 for details.

Keep Boerne Beautiful (KBB) is taking applications from Kendall County residents who wish to be considered for upcoming vacancies on the organization's board of directors. High school students and youths especially are urged to apply for volunteer positions that require minimal time commitments. KBB is an all-volunteer organization that enpowers Boerne residents through education to take responsibility for enhancing their community environment. San Antonio Sports and Social Club is now registering teams and individuals for its spring 2008 softball and flag football leagues. Both leagues are co-ed and open to men and women age 21 or older. Registration ends 11 p.m. Feb. 22. Visit: www.sanantoniossc.com.

Texas AgriLife Extension Service will be conducting its spring Master Gardener class for adults interested in gardening and learning about horticulture, in which they return their knowledge and time back into providing educational outreach to the community. Texas AgriLife Extension Service (Bexar County) will be conducting its first annual Green Industry class next year and now is taking registrations. This class is open to all green industry professionals who want to increase their knowledge in all aspects of the green industry: lawn care and maintenance; landscape management; and retail and wholesale nursery sales. Learn how to leverage your skills and update your knowledge with the most recent practices available from experts in their respective fields of horticultural services.
