The North East Relay for Life formed in 2007 is planning its second annual event and is currently aiming at recruiting 50 teams. 

The orginization is actively recruiting and registering now for the relay that will be held from May 17-18 from 7 p.m. on Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday. The relay will be held at the soccer fields at Blossom Athletic Center.
 
This is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society but it is also an opportunity to honor cancer survivors and remember loved ones who have died of cancer.
 
A kick off rally for the schools and communities in the Roosevelt High School area cluster will be held on Jan. 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Roosevelt High School cafeteria.
