By June”Bug” Special Contributor We have two raffle baskets that were donated by June “Bug” Ready and Annabel Fey from American Bank of Texas. Profits will go to the Valentine dinner and dance. One ticket is $1, or 15 tickets are $5. The drawing will be held the night of the dance on Feb. 16. The baskets are filled with some really neat goodies, so get your ticket or tickets - taking a chance is the only way you could be a winner. The Pals group from Smith-son Valley High School will host a “Lovers Day” games and dance on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. Sign up if you plan to at-tend. Forms that you will need to bring are listed on a flyer on the front table. No need to be frustrated when preparing your income tax. Assistance will be provided free of charge by Howard Goings at the BSC on Wednes-days in the craft room from l2 noon to 2 p.m. through April 9. There has been a much needed change made in the administrative office environment. We now have a cubicle in the office that will provide our members the confidential area needed when you visit with the director. Please be respectful of each other’s privacy when someone is in the area. We want to give a big thanks to Forrest Wilson of Craft Ser-vices for donating this cubicle and setting it up for us at no charge. Now is a great time to pay your $15 membership dues for this year. We are updating our records so we need all members to complete a membership form and turn it in with your dues. See Doris at the table she has set up for this purpose. Our monthly birthday and anniversary celebration will be Monday. Volunteers will make home made cakes and bring ice cream. It’s a great way to have our birthday and or anniversary honored with a song and to have an excuse to eat cake and ice cream - as if we needed an excuse. Korean Drummers will play for us after lunch on Feb. 18.
