Boerne

Monday, Feb. 4

1:28 a.m., 100 City Park – Police spotted an unoccupied car with an open door and reeking of marijuana in a parking lot. A man and a woman who emerged from the woods nearby admitted to smoking marijuana and were escorted home with instructions to pick up the vehicle the next day when they would be sober.

10:57 a.m., 200 Live Oak – A juvenile female ran away from a youth home with another female. The runaway student was found at a nearby store and returned to the youth home.

12:03 p.m., 1200 S. Main – Police diverted traffic around a large gasoline spill that was being cleaned up at a gas station.

1:56 p.m., 1300 River – Seven windows on a school bus were found to be broken by an unknown actor.

2:17 p.m., Boerne Police Dept. – A Boerne resident reported her daughter missing, having no contact with her in two days.

6:44 p.m., 1300 S. Main – Nine juvenile males were reported to be throwing food and being belligerent to customers in a fast food restaurant. Police removed the offending party from the premises.

7:33 p.m., Amelia Breeze/Katie – Neighbors witnessed men in khaki uniforms handcuffing and brutalizing another man, chasing him across a yard and pinning him to the hood of a vehicle. Police contacted the men, who said they were actors filming a “stay off drugs” video.

8:25 p.m., 100 Dawn – Police arrested a woman on a Bexar County warrant for theft, a Boerne warrant for failure to display an inspection sticker and several warrants for having an unrestrained child.

10:03 p.m., 300 Irons – A domestic dispute led to the arrest of a man on a warrant for disorderly conduct, fighting. The warrant was from a previous incident.

Tuesday, Feb. 5

5:39 p.m., 200 Ivy – A apartment resident complained of an odor of marijuana entering her apartment from another apartment. Police confirmed the odor but could not locate the source.

5:56 p.m., Boerne Police Dept. – A transient man turned over to police a wallet that he had found containing some cash and personal checks.

Wednesday, Feb. 6

12:39 a.m., 37100 W. Interstate 10 – A man called 911 asking for help getting into town. Police contacted the man who was, in fact, lonely and needed someone to talk to.

11:17 a.m., 1400 E. Blanco – A woman was arrested on a felony warrant for burglary of a building.

3:56 p.m., 100 Park Place – A man was arrested for assault family violence.

5:13 p.m., 400 W. Bandera – Store employees complained of juvenile males skateboarding in a business parking lot. Police contacted the skateboarders, who left without incident.

Thrusday, Feb. 7

6:24 p.m., 400 W. Bandera – Police confronted three juvenile males and issued written warnings to them for skateboarding where prohibited.

7:24 p.m., 600 S. School – Witnesses reported two men arguing in a parking lot. One man pulled a gun on the other and began chasing the unarmed man through a neighborhood. Police were unable to locate either man.

Friday, Feb. 8

5:13 a.m., 100 Crosspoint – A woman died in hospice care.

4:37 p.m., 500 E. Blanco – A man stole a ring valued at $10,000 from a jewelry store.

5:29 p.m., 1300 S. Main – A man was arrested on a Kendall County warrant for theft by check, a charge enhanced by his status as a habitual offender.

Saturday, Feb. 9

12:05 p.m., Bandera/ Main – Police confronted solicitors who were asking drivers for money. The solicitors said they did not need a permit because they are a non-profit organization, although all solicitors must have a permit by a recent city ordinance. Police advised them to check with City Hall on Monday.

Sunday, Feb. 11

5:02 a.m., 200 Ivy – A 17-year-old girl was reported missing since Friday. The girl’s grandmother said she had been trying to reach the girl’s cell phone and finally got through, only to hear moaning and the sound of the phone being moved around. The girl was last seen on Friday with a man who had a criminal trespass warning for an apartment complex he had visited, despite the warning, several times during the previous week.

Sunday, Feb. 3

9:30 a.m., 200 block April Lane, Boerne - Deputies responding to a 911 call regarding a domestic disturbance arrested one person.

Monday, Feb. 4

10:36 a.m., J Williams Road, Boerne

A 911 caller said someone placed a dead deer on her car during the night.

Wednesday, Feb. 6

1000 block FM3351, Kendalia - After a traffic stop, one person was arrested for driving with an invalid license.

4:46 p.m., MM545 Interstate 10 - A caller said the driver of an 18-wheeler made an obscene gesture to motorists and was impeding traffic.

6:29 p.m., Walnut Grove Road - The wife of a separated couple planning to file a federal tax return as Married Filing Jointly became alarmed when the husband said if she did not sign the document, he would forge her name and cash an anticipated refund check.

Thursday, Feb. 7

9:07 a.m., 100 block Hunters View Circle, Sisterdale - AirLife transported a 42-year-old male, who had fallen 10 to 12 feet, to a hospital.

12:02 p.m., Thunder Valley Road, Boerne - A caller threatened to shoot dogs he said bit a prospective buyer of property he is selling.

7:24 p.m, MM545, Interstate 10 - A motorist said he was following a vehicle that had moving letters around the license plate. A deputy advised the caller this is illegal, but the nonconforming vehicle couldn’t be located.

Fair Oaks Ranch

Thursday, Feb. 7

1:09 p.m., 30200 Fairway Run – Leon Springs Fire Department and FOR Police helped to extinguish a small residential kitchen fire.

2:59 p.m., 7700 Terra Manor – Police contacted a male solicitor who flashed an “interstate commerce solicitation permit,” which he believed gave him permission to solicit anywhere. The man was returned to his manager with instructions to obtain a FOR solicitor’s permit before returning.

Sunday, Feb. 10

7:57 p.m., 8500 Noble Lark – Police responded to a call about a toilet in the road. An officer removed the toilet from the roadway and put it in a bulk trash container.
