Special to the Bulverde News Every high school and middle school in the Comal ISD are participating in the first “Education: Go Get It” this week through Friday. “Education: Go Get It” week was created when HB 2237 Section 12 was amended this summer to include a mandate that each school provide information about the importance of higher education to all middle and high school students. During the week, each middle and high school provided students with comprehensive grade-appropriate information regarding the pursuit of higher education. Each high school and middle school campus has had different activities during the week, but each had at least one speaker who will discuss the importance of higher education to the student body. Every middle and high school student will also receive information about college entrance requirements and financial aid. “This is an excellent opportunity for some students to begin thinking about their future before they might have otherwise,” said Dolly Adams, Comal ISD fine arts coordinator.
