The Smithson Valley High School Broadway Ladies performed a concert at the Canyon Lake United Methodist Church on Sunday evening as the final tune-up and fund-raiser for their trip to Kansas City, MO.  The group, directed by Perry Dean, departs on Tuesday, Feb. 19 for a performance at the American Choral Directors Association Conference.  The SVHS Broadway Ladies are one of only 7 high school choirs chosen out of several hundred applications to perform at this event.  In addition to the Broadway Ladies, four SVHS men are also attending the conference to sing in the All Men's Honors Choir.  These young men are: Willie Ebrom, who was first chair All-State tenor, Luke Perkins, Bryan Cothran, and Matt Genovese.
