The Trinity University Tigers women’s basketball team made six free throws in the final minute to close out its regular season with a 70-66 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win over the Colorado College Tigers in Colorado Springs Saturday.

Trinity (19-5, 13-2 SCAC) finished as the winner of the SCAC Western Division, five games ahead of second-place Colorado College (12-12, 8-7 SCAC). The Tigers, ranked No. 4 in the NCAA South Region, enter the SCAC Championship Tournament as the top Western Division seed Friday through Sunday at Hendrix College in Conway, Ark. The top four teams from each of two divisions qualify and the winner receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III playoffs.
