Alamo Heights Neighborhood Association elects board PDF Print E-mail

At its general membership meeting last month, the Alamo Heights Neighborhood Association elected a new Board of Directors for 2008-9.

John R. Joseph will serve as president, while the executive vice president is Blackie Bolduc. Five vice presidents were elected: Marcia Goren Weser (membership), Nancy Dunson (planning), May O’Neal (programming), Hans G. Rohl (public affairs) and Erich Menger III (social events).

AHNA’s new treasurer is Betsy Solsbery, and co-secretaries are Margaret Spencer and Laura Theurer.

Larry Balser, Kathy Ingle and Richard H. Tye were elected to serve as directors-at-large.

The group’s mission is “to encourage and secure the preservation of the distinctive and unique beauty of the Alamo Heights community by being an active force in the planning processes and problem-solving efforts of the city while promoting community education and safety in a cooperative, progressive manner.”

Dues are $20 annually per household that want communications via e-mail. Dues for households that need communications by regular mail are $30. There is also a special benefactor membership for $100 per household annually.
