Polish American Center, PNA Lodge 2540, is having it’s “all you can eat” sausage fest. There will be kiolbassa sausage plates for $6. The fest is from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The center is located at 2611 Mission Road. Call 922-6277.

Saturday

American Legion JFK Post 485, located at 431 Kendalia Ave., will have an Easter egg hunt from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is open to the public. Call 922-8192.

Mitchell Lake Audubon Center, 10750 Pleasanton Road, will host a free, hands-on program, “Monarchs, Milkweed and More!” (Part II), 1 to 4 p.m. Learn about Monarch butterfly migration, biology and ecology. Call 628-1639.

Windcrest Animal Hospital will offer low-cost pet vaccinations 9 to 11 a.m. at Wal-Mart, 8923 W. Military Drive.

Sunday

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9186, at 650 VFW Blvd., will have a free dance from 4 to 9 p.m. Los Hmmos Lague will provide music. VFW Post 9186 is located across from Mission County Park directly behind the Mission Drive-in Theater.

Rescuers United for Furry Friends (RU F F) is having its rabies drive called “Pet Fair” at 4Paws Animal Hospital, at 3630 S. E. Military Drive. It is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be low cost vaccinations, free basic obedience training, “Canine Good Citizen” testing, “Therapy Dogs Inc.” initial observations, micro chipping and information on low cost/no cost spay/neuter. Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd will have Holy Week events beginning with a Palm Sunday service, at 10:30 a.m. There will also be a worship service and distribution of palm crosses. On March 20, at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m., there will be a Passover meal and service. On March 21, there will be Good Friday service at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. On March 23, there will be a 7 a.m. Sunrise Easter service, followed by a pancake breakfast; then a 9 a.m. children’s Easter egg hunt; and 10:30 a.m. worship service. Southside Church of God is hosting “Financial Peace University.” It is a 13-week, video-based, small study group that teaches how to beat debt, build wealth and give like never before. The class begins today at 6 p.m., at the Southside Church Of God, 406 Boswell St. Each class participant requires a kit. Mission San Juan Capistrano is hosting its annual Palm Sunday fish fry at Slattery Hall, 9006 Villamain Road. The fish fry is from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Plates are $6. There will also be a loteria from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., and a rummage sale starting at 12:30 p.m.

Monday

McCreless Library will have a book sale from 1:30 to 7:30 p.m. The book sale will be in the community room of McCreless Library at 1023 Ada St.

Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine will have a blessing of Easter baskets and food (swieconka) on Holy Saturday, March 22, at noon. Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine is located 128 Beethoven (off Rigsby Avenue). The Sepaphic Franciscan Sisters are inviting everyone to attend. Bring Easter baskets and food for Easter Sunday.

American Legion JFK Post 485, located at 431 Kendalia Ave., will have a recognition ceremony March 29, from noon to 2 p.m. The post is recognizing artist Noe Garza. Garza painted a mural at the post. The post is also recognizing volunteers that have helped improve the post. Call 922-8192.

Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine and the Seraphic Sisters is having its annual Divine Mercy Sunday celebration at Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine, 138 Beethoven (off Rigsby Avenue) March 30. It begins at 3 p.m. There will be an exposition of the eucharist followed by the chaplet to the divine mercy and procession. Mass will be at 4 p.m. Blessing afterward with the relic of St. Faustina. Several priests will be available for confessions prior to the opening services. The celebration takes place outdoors. Please bring a lawn chair to help with the seating and an umbrella.

Blessed Sacrament Academy is offering a parenting program called “Precious Minds, New Connections” starting March 25. The program is free to expectant parents and parents who have a child in their home from birth to age three. Grandparents and other adults helping to raise the child are welcome to attend. The program meets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, for a total of 10 sessions from March 25 to April 23.
