Two Trinity University divers earned Honorable Mention All-America honors Saturday on the 3-meter board at the NCAA Division III Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships at Miami University. First-year diver Hayley Emerick finished ninth with a score of 443.65 and senior Lauren Walstad was 10th with a mark of 434.90. Emerick registered a score of 420.35 in Thursday’s 1-meter competition and qualified as an Honorable Mention All-American. She previously was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Female Diver of the Year. Emerick won the 1-meter (475.40) and 3-meter (496.05) boards at Southlake in February, setting SCAC records in both events. Walstad came in at No. 14 on the 1-meter board with a score of 374.10. Walstad is an Honorable Mention All-American for the third consecutive year. She was also a two-time SCAC Female Diver of the Year, earning the recognition in 2006 and 2007.
