Special to the Southside Reporter Damion Coronado and Jesse Garza recently lost their bikes during a house fire at their homes in January. Coronado and Garza are students at Heritage Elementary in the Southside Independent School District. Army Sgt. Joe Guerrero and co-workers from Brooks City Base, who mentor at Heritage Elementary, wanted to do something for Coronado and Garza. The students were given new Mongoose bicycles. Coronado’s new bicycle is a gold one, just like the one he lost in the fire. Guerrero visited Pearce Primary along with Heritage Elementary Counselor, Nancy Tschirhart-Brooks to deliver the bikes.
