Special to the Bulverde News The Bulverde Community Center invites everyone to come and enjoy some delicious barbeque chicken and sausage cooked by members of the board and volunteers on the pits behind the center. The plates are $6.50 for adults, and $3.50 for children. Of course, a meal is not complete without dessert, which can be purchased for a nominal price at the bake sale. The festival is a great place to spend time with family, friends and neighbors while supporting your local community center. This year’s event will be on Sunday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shop the arts and crafts booths, take a chance on winning groceries at the country store, and let the kids play the various games. Attendance prizes will be given away throughout the day (and you must be present to win). To conclude the festival, 46 raffle items will be given away. Raffle tickets are $1 each, or six for $5, and can be purchased from any board member, or at the festival. Take a chance on winning a Spurs Tickets, a 45-rpm jukebox, retirement and estate planning sessions, a $300 Home Depot gift certificate, a Fuji digital camera, and more. Also, check out the im-provements made by Blake Turner, a local Boy Scout who is working toward his Eagle Scout. Reserve a booth space by calling Susie Boss at (830) 980-7938. The Bulverde Community Center is located at 1747 E. Amman Road between Rahe Primary and Bulverde Elementary schools.
