Cortez library to hold free events honoring ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ PDF Print E-mail

The Raoul Cortez library celebrates Pulitzer Prize winning novel “To Kill a Mockingbird” with a series of free special events in April.

The library is located at 2803 Hunter St., between the Poteet Jourdanton Freeway and Palo Alto Road. Call 922-7372. The events include:

• Wednesday, 6 p.m., a free theatrical performance with actors from the Magik Theatre presenting a dramatic interpretation of “To Kill a Mockingbird.”

• April 15, 6 p.m., a free film screening of “To Kill a Mockingbird.”

• April 17, 7 p.m., a book discussion with fellow readers of “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
