The Harlandale Golden Girls Dance Team and Pep Squad competed in the San Antonio Spectacular, Dance, Drill and Pep Squad Contest held at Alamo Heights on Feb. 23.

The dance team received the following awards: sweepstakes, judges award, best in category jazz, best in category pom, best in category military and first place grand champions in the extra small dance division.

The team competed against Wagner, Judson, Randolph and Medina Valley high schools.

The Harlandale Pep Squad received the following awards: sweepstakes, judges award, best in category novelty, first runner up military, first runner up pom, showtime applause choreography award for military, and first runner up circle of champions in the pep squad division.

Ciara Coronado and Salina Ramirez received first runner up for their duet.

The girls competed March 3 at Wagner High School at the ADTS Alamo Spectacular, Dance and Pep Squad Competition.

The Harlandale Dance Team received the following awards: sweepstakes, Gussie Nell Davis, judges award for jazz, pom and military.
