Lauren Johns, a seventh- grade flutist and student at Terrell Wells Middle School, recently performed with the San Antonio Symphony.

Johns is a member of the Terrell Wells Middle School Trojan Band, located in the Harlandale Independent School District.

She was chosen to perform in concert with the San Antonio Symphony featuring world renowned flutist, Sir James Galway. She participated in three performances held at the Majestic Theatre on Feb. 14 through 16.

“It was awesome and fun,” Johns said. “I got to meet kids from all over the city and meeting Mr. Galway was really neat.”

Johns was the only student to represent Harlandale ISD.
