Robber holds up Alamo Heights bank; police ask for public’s help PDF Print E-mail

Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating a man that robbed a Guaranty Bank the morning of April 8. Both the FBI and the Alamo Heights Police Department are investigating the robbery that occurred around 10:30 a.m. in the 5700 block of Broadway.

According to authorities, the robber showed a teller a handgun and demanded money. The teller handed him an undetermined amount of money before he fled on foot.

Officers from Alamo Heights, Terrell Hills and San Antonio police departments searched the area, but were unable to locate the robber. None of the bank employees were injured.

The robber is described as a white male between 45 to 50 years old, has a thin to medium build and stands between 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark colored mask, a gray baseball cap, a blue-plaid-style shirt and khaki pants.

The public is asked to call 822-3321 if they have any information about the robbery.
