Thief ruins a good meal March 8, 12:52 p.m., 4800 block of Broadway: A woman reported that the window to her car had been smashed in the parking lot of a local restaurant. The thief stole a tote bag with a gift card and various other items. Burglar steals electronics March 11, 11:09 p.m., 6800 block of Broadway: A woman reported her apartment had been broken into and a DVD player and stereo had been stolen. She suspected her ex-boyfriend was the burglar. Border dispute March 12, 6:58 p.m., 300 block of Circle: Police were called about a report of criminal mischief. The person at the address said an 8-foot section of her fence had been taken and placed at another adjoining address. The homeowner stated she had been disputing the boundary lines of the property with the resident at the other address for 18 months. Burglar bags power tools March 13, 5:50 a.m., 300 block of Circle: A patrol officer noticed the door of a pickup at the address was open and the door handle was damaged. He contacted the owner who said the truck was not damaged earlier. He told the officer a drill and circular saw was missing from the back seat. Thief steals iPod March 13, 8:06 p.m., 6900 block of Broadway: A student taking part in a track meet reported that when she returned to where she had placed her backpack, her iPod was missing. Stolen plate March 17, 4:15 p.m., 6100 block of Broadway: A motorist reported that the front license plate of his vehicle had been stolen. He was advised to contact the Bexar County Tax Assessor’s office to get new plates because the old plate would show up as stolen in the TCUC/NCIC computer files.
