City Councilman Rob Ziegler led in the race for campaign cash for the filing period that ended April 10, reporting $3,725 in donations.

Candidates are required to file a report with the city secretary 30 days prior to the election, which is Saturday. They also must file a report one week prior to the election, but that information was not available before the View’s deadline.

Other candidate filings show that Councilman Jacques DuBose reported receiving $2,775; Councilwoman Judy Edmondson reported $2,500; and challenger Jeff Haberstroh reported $2,725. Both DuBose and Haberstroh said they had campaign funds left over from previous City Council races.

Haberstroh had $3,161.41 remaining in his campaign account after paying expenditures of $355 for the reporting period, while DuBose had total expenditures of $1,480.01 and had $3,346.21 left in his account.
