The fourth annual GVTC Foundation Charitable Golf Classic held May 5 at River Crossing Country Club raised $85,000 for the Comal Education Foundation, which provides funds for programs and activities that are not funded, or have been underfunded.

“I’m so delighted the GVTC Foundation is able to make another significant financial contribution to support students and teachers in our area,” said Cathy Young, president, The GVTC Foundation.  “On behalf of the foundation, I’d like to thank all of our vendors and volunteers for making this event another huge success.”  

The total amount raised over a four year period to CEF from this tournament is now more than $335,000. 

More than 280 local and out of state golfers participated in the tournament, along with more than 100 volunteers from GVTC, Comal Education Foundation and other area businesses who helped in a variety of ways to make the event run smoothly.
