The Bulverde Senior Center has been the privileged recipient of many programs presented by the PALS (Peer Assistance Leadership) of Smithson Valley High.

During a recent special school awards night, BSC was honored to receive a certificate of appreciation. PALS received a special award for the Senior Night Out program. This award is given for activities having the most impact on the community and the PALs. We celebrate this special award with them, and extend our congratulations.

We especially thank our own PALS, including Travis Singley, Tara Fording, Candis Marie Reese, Noreal Pacheco and Jill Ervin.

Who is who at the senior center? Have you checked out our new Web site at www.bulverdeseniorcenter.com? Pictures of members will be displayed with a brief note of introduction to help you identify who’s who.

You may complete the form available at BSC so an introduction of yourself may be included at some future date. Go to the Web site to get our schedule, a synopsis of many of the programs, and find out what is going on. You might even find a picture of yourself!

AARP is offering a defensive driving class at BSC on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cost will be $12 for the class, which includes a $2 donation to the center. Pick up your registration forms at BSC, or call (830) 438-3111.

The Bulverde Senior Center’s Walk of Fame is located in the sidewalk in front of BSC. Memorial bricks are again available.

Remember a loved one, or celebrate your own life with the purchase of a paver for our Walk of Fame. Small memorial bricks may be purchased for $50. Large granite pavers are also available.
