SVHS TSA chapter excels at state PDF Print E-mail

The Smithson Valley High Technology Student Asso-ciation (TSA) chapter competed in the state contest at the Waco Convention Center May 8 to 10.

The Ranger Tech chapter team placed second overall in the Class 5A High Point Division.

The SVHS technology students earned 44 “Best in State” awards, 149 first-place blue ribbons, 81 second-place ribbons, and 14 third-place ribbons.

The SVHS traveling team was comprised of 13 students – J.C. Lucas, Mac McDaniel, Donovan Murphy, Ethan Menebroker, Regan Manning, Tyne Powell, Wade Fry, Morgan Walley, Kevin Krumm, Alex Schaetter, Corwin Hall, Matt Hernandez, and Zach Mayer.

The traveling team earned 16 top-10 finalist awards in on-site written exams and graphic solutions. Addition-ally, the SVHS Technology Problem Solving team of Lucas and Menebroker earned the second-place award in the event.
