Special to the Bulverde News The Bulverde/Spring Branch Library will resume Story Times in September. They will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the school year, except on dates the library is closed for holidays. Pre-school Story Time, with Connie Pace, begins Sept. 3 at 10:30 a.m. and is designed for children who are able to sit and listen for longer periods of time, generally ages three and up. All are welcome! Toddler story times will start on Sept. 8 at 10:30 a.m. Lilya Colston, from Art Time, will lead the first one with fun stories and crafts. We expect a lot of movement in this class! On Sept. 6 at 11 a.m., Tara Lemes-Jones will lead Children’s Western Story Time as part of the One Book/One Community events. On Thursday at 10:30 a.m., the movie ìThe Good Old Boys,î based on the book of the same name by Elmer Kelton and starring Tommy Lee Jones, will be shown. The movie, while free, is for adults and older teens only. Children will be welcome at a later date. Faux mimosas will be served. This event is just another one of the many events the Friends of the Library have planned and presented since the first of August to involve as many people as possible in this community program. Funded in part by the Minnie Stevens Piper Founda-tion, the movie should be truly an exciting event. For further information, call the library at (830) 438-4864, or visit the Web site at
