The Converse Beautification and Environmental Commission is hosting a litter pickup beginning at 7:30 a.m., assembling at the Church’s Fried Chicken parking lot at FM 78 and FM 1516. The Marion FFA will hold its “Steak ‘N’ Chops” fundraiser dinner from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in the Marion Middle School cafeteria. The meal, which includes a choice of either a ribeye steak or double cut pork chop, will be prepared by Next Door Catering. Cost: $12 per adult, $5 per child 11 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance from any FFA member or booster member.
