Loula Mae Urban, 84, died on, Jan. 27 in Comfort. She was born Jan. 18, 1923 in Miguel, to John and Lillian Favor.

She married Carl L. Urban on Nov. 13, 1945, in Milwaukee, Wisc., and was a bookkeeper.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Urban; her parents, John and Lilian Favor; a grandson, Rhett Urban; and a brother, Glen Favor.

She is survived by two sons, John C. Urban and his wife, Emma, of Stafford, Va., Paul D. Urban and his wife, Lynn, of Comfort; a daughter, Cheryl Holekamp and her husband, Clyde, of Comfort; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Urban; two sisters, Dorothy Carter and her husband, Joe, of Lytle, and Faye Knappick and her husband, Larry, of Waring; of Comfort; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Jan. 31, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Comfort. Rev. Jim Cashin officiated. Burial followed at Comfort Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Rhett Urban Scholarship Fund, the Comfort Public Library Education Foundation, the Waring Volunteer Fire Department or to the charity of your choice.
