A member of First Baptist Church of Boerne, she was a former member of the Riverside Baptist Church in San Antonio and Castle Hills. A longtime pre-school teacher at the Castle Hills Baptist Church, she was later with the Grace Point Pre-School. Carolyn was also a member of the Daughters of the Nile.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Adams, her father, James G. Jones, and her step-son, Todd Adams.

She is survived by her mother, Nell Jones; daughters, Brenda Mitchell of Jupiter, Fla., and Cindy Perlotto and her husband, Mark, of Boerne; grandchildren, Nicole Ortega of Boerne, Tyler Mitchell of Jupiter, Fla., and Cody Perlotto of Boerne; brother, Col. James G. Jones, Jr. and his wife, Shirley, of Bonaire, Ga.; a niece, Amanda Fly, of San Antonio; step-son, Richard W. Adams, Jr. and his wife, Claire.

Visitation was Tuesday, at Vaughan’s Funeral Home. The funeral services were held Wednesday, at First Baptist Church in Boerne, Pastors Mike Harkrider and George Harris officiated. Burial followed in San Jose Cemetery in San Antonio.
