Janis Lynne Carter

Born Jan. 6, 1953, in San Antonio, she was the loving mother of three sons, including Sean Martin of San Antonio, Adam Martin of Austin, and Bryan Martin with his wife, Joy, and their two daughters, Annalisa and Eve of Arkansas.

She is also survived by her sister, Carrol Haliburton, and her husband, Mike Haliburton of Dallas; her mother, Annice Keeling, and her husband, Ed Keeling, of Boerne; and her best friend and loving companion, Ron Whitley, of San Antonio.

She was the Queen Mother of the Frivolous and Fun Red Hatters of San Antonio, a group of ladies of which she was very proud.

She leaves behind too many people to mention and who called her “friend.” She was a kind and caring soul who was always ready to help anyone in need. She brought sunshine to people’s lives. We will miss her.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday at Vaughan’s Funeral
